We are pioneers of renewable energy by conviction. ABO Energy develops and builds wind and solar farms as well as battery and hydrogen projects worldwide. For almost 30 years, ABO Energy´s in-house specialist departments have been providing all steps of project development and implementation: from site assessment, planning, engineering, permitting and financing to construction, energy sales, grid connection, operational management and maintenance. A future worth living for future generations is our overarching goal. Renewables are our DNA.


Business Developer (m/f/d) Wind and Solar

Our project development is dynamic, fair, ecological and transparent. We want to strengthen our team in the Tunis branch with commitment and experience. We need you to generate and realise many more renewable projects in Tunisia.


Your passion

  • You coordinate the various development stages of our projects, both internally & externally
  • You identify project sites and execute pre-feasibility studies
  • You negotiate land lease contracts and liaise with landowners, agents, and solicitors
  • You consult with local government councils, grid operators, and statutory bodies
  • You engage and manage consultants and review expert studies and impact assessments
  • You manage project communication


Your qualification

  • You hold an academic degree preferably in law, planning or engineering
  • You have strong negotiation skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • You possess excellent Arabic and French language skills, fluency in English or German would be an asset
  • You have a proven ability to perform interdisciplinary work
  • You are willing to travel throughout Tunisia on a regular basis
  • You have knowledge of provincial and Tunisian legislation regarding wind and solar farm permitting

Personal meetings and exchange strengthen our project work and cohesion, but mobile working has also proven its worth. We generally offer a mix of presential work and mobile work from home, from abroad or in one of our decentralised office hubs. 

We focus on transparency, fairness, and openness: our Development teams are in constant, trustful exchange with communities, landowners and authorities. They also inform residents about the progress of our projects.

Our colleagues also show their best side on the dance floor. Our Christmas parties or the parties at the Global Meeting are legendary. Many colleagues also get together in their free time - for example, for rock climbing, playing football or card games.
