We are pioneers of renewable energy by conviction. ABO Energy develops and builds wind and solar farms as well as battery and hydrogen projects worldwide. For almost 30 years, ABO Energy's in-house specialist departments have been providing all steps of project development and implementation: from site assessment, planning, engineering, permitting and financing to construction, energy sales, grid connection, operational management and maintenance. Our Solar Engineering Department is providing engineering solutions for all the photovoltaic projects developed by the Company, covering the full design life-cycle – starting with the concept and ending with the as built documentation. The Department is split in Teams, where we combine the experience of the senior engineers with the desire to learn of the juniors – all this in a friendly environment, with people from different nations connected by the passion to design high quality pv projects. To further grow and strengthen our team, we need more people like you.
Your passion
- You design utility scale Solar projects, at a preliminary or detailed level, using industry-standard software
- You define technical parameters and specifications for the main components and ensure the compliance with industry codes
- You review technical drawings prepared by the design team and external providers
- You work in collaboration with cross business teams
- You support the preparation of post-construction documentation
- You provide expertise during project implementation, both remotely and on site
Your qualification
- You have a master’s degree in electrical engineering
- You have professional experience of several years in the photovoltaic industry in a relevant position
- You are an expert in working with design software such as PVSyst, AutoCad, PVcase, CYMCAP, etc.
- Your experience in sizing and selection of electrical components (cables, transformers, etc.) will be considered an advantage
- You are fluent in English, ideally are speaking German and additional languages would be an asset
- Your possible experience in solar construction processes (as a site manager or a technical auditor) will be considered an asset
