Julia and Isabell are part of our Office Administration Team

Julia & Isabell

Julia and Isabell are part of our Office Administration Team in Wiesbaden – and they ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Isabell is responsible for reception and coordinates the department’s student team. Julia works closely with various departments, processes incoming invoices, and supports the organisation of internal events.

We asked them a few questions to learn more about their work and everyday life at ABO Energy.

What are your responsibilities at ABO Energy?

Isabell: At ABO Energy, I take on a variety of tasks, including reception, where I welcome clients and guests, as well as supporting my colleagues in the secretariat. I also coordinate the students in our department, which I really enjoy. What I like most is working together as a team to tackle the day and overcome challenges – it really strengthens our sense of unity.

Julia: I originally come from the hospitality industry and was looking for a job that would challenge and support me – and I definitely found that at ABO Energy. My tasks in the office aren’t immediately visible, as I work more behind the scenes laying the groundwork for our colleagues. I coordinate enquiries via email or phone from external clients and internal staff, support the accounting team with invoice processing, and also work on various projects that help structure and simplify our company’s workflows. Due to the strong growth in recent years and the constant changes in the world, our processes also need to be continuously adapted. What I particularly enjoy is the variety of tasks – every day is different, and I learn a lot myself.

How do you see your work contributing to ABO Energy’s mission to actively drive the energy transition?

Isabell: I see my work as an important contribution to the energy transition because my tasks help advance sustainable energy projects and support the overarching goal of environmentally friendly energy supply. We also take care of the internal energy of our colleagues – since we’re responsible for the coffee machines!

Julia: Even though we may seem inconspicuous in Office Management, we play a significant role in the energy transition. We pay attention to resource consumption within the company, which shouldn’t be overlooked. It may sound trivial, but proper waste separation, saving paper, using organic products, and digital development can greatly ease the burden on our environment and enrich our planet in many ways.

Can you tell us more about the team atmosphere at ABO Energy?

Isabell: I find the team atmosphere at ABO Energy to be pleasant and collegial, characterised by open communication. Several times a year, we have events where we can exchange ideas and strengthen team cohesion – for example, at summer parties.

Julia: I really like the informal culture in our company and the fact that everyone is treated equally – from students to senior management. It feels very much like a family, even though we now have over 1,400 employees worldwide. We’re all pulling in the same direction and share a common goal: to make the world a little better, day by day.
