Junior Electrical Engineer (m/f/d)
You'll play a key role in supporting exciting projects across Ireland and Great Britain, helping to power a greener future. This is the perfect opportunity for someone passionate about renewable energy and eager to make an impact. You'll gain hands-on experience, collaborate with industry experts, and grow your career in one of the most forward-thinking sectors.
You will support renewable energy projects as an electrical engineer through the development, preconstruction, and construction phases. The position involves significant interaction with other ABO staff as part of a multi-discipline team including staff in ABO Energy's offices in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany.
Your passion
- Assisting with the preparation of grid applications. Coordinating with grid operators and managing the grid application process.
- Providing input for pre-feasibility studies and technical risk assessment.
- Developing and optimizing grid connection solutions for wind, solar, and energy storage projects.
- Contribute to the electrical design and layout of renewable energy projects across technologies.
- Review electrical layouts to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making regarding electrical infrastructure.
- Representing ABO Energy on industry grid policy committees / working groups
- Supporting project tendering, acquisition processes and project execution
- Attend site visits to assess potential grid connection points and verify the feasibility of electrical designs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest renewable energy technologies and grid connection standards.
Your qualification
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or an alternative, equivalent level of training/education.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- Ability to cooperate with an international project team.
- Self-motivated with a problem-solving attitude.
- Full driving license with access to a car as travel around the UK will be required.
